The German born author, professor and world traveler shared heart-breaking, honest and intimate details from his past, while speaking at the TEDxPanchgani. He brought to light the facts behind why our education system may be completely irrelevant to life skills and employment in the future and challenged each person in the audience to be a catalyst for change, via meaningful interaction with the younger generation. He proposed a revolutionary new approach towards mentoring; involving listening, acceptance and "modelling" behaviour, can create a safe space for troubled teens.
